It appears Apple views Artificial Intelligence as the path toward the future rather than the Vision Pro product

The company has appointed Kim Vorrath to handle executive changes across AI programs and Siri platform. After helping launch Vision Pro's software Kim Vorrath joined Apple's machine learning and artificial intelligence division to serve as "top deputy" for AI chief John Giannandrea according to Bloomberg. Apple created significant WWDC excitement surrounding their AI / Apple Intelligence initiatives last year yet these developments received less traction than OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google Gemini tools.
The sizable Siri update allowing the virtual assistant to understand screen activities and execute corresponding actions will not materialize until Apple releases iOS 18.4. With complaints about inaccurate summaries Apple will temporarily stop its AI-powered news notification summary functionality when iOS 18.3 releases. The AI team benefited from Vorrath's hiring because he worked on Apple's first iPhone software group so the company sought better precision in their AI development.
Evidence exists which suggests Apple will focus disproportionately on AI because of its significance compared to the Vision Pro. Bloomberg obtained internal documentation indicating the artificial intelligence team leads initiatives to modernize Siri infrastructure and enhance Apple-made AI systems throughout this year.
